The streets of Tirano reveal a rich and fascinating history in which even the most remote corners take the mind back to the past. The sanctuary of the Madonna di Tirano, built after the apparition of the Virgin to Mario Omodei in the 16th century, is located in the square of the same name of great Renaissance elegance, which also houses the ancient hospice of San Michele, in memory of the sumptuous international fairs of the 16th century.
